Something my Dad told me a few years ago, was how much he loved my mother.

That, even though they’d been divorced for years, she was still the love of his life; and he never stopped loving her.

I’d never quite heard words before which broke, yet warmed my heart completely all at once.

A few weeks ago at his funeral, I finally told her. And as odd as that sounds, I feel as though that is something he would have wanted her to know and everyone else to know.
